Personality: Mao is naturally flighty: easily frightened and very unwilling to get into any sort of confrontation. She is only encouraged to move into battle-heavy areas by snapdragon leaves, her favorite treat. Although Mao is a loyal dragonmoose, she is often distracted by food. Being that she is a beast of burden, she is not very bright, and doesn't think most of the time. Only intelligent to know when to NOT get into a fight, and where to hide, Mao is only useful as a traveling companion.

Description: Mao is a dragonmoose: a four-hoofed creature with antlers, a cow-like tail, fin-like ears, and whiskers that make it appear to look like a dragon. Her body is black, while the inside of her ears, her mane, and the tip of her tail are white. There are also a few white spots on her flank. Chosen only because of her color, and neither her brains nor her bravery, Mao is more of a source of transportation than anything reliable. She is large, and capable of carrying two people on her back.
History:
The Dragonmoose is a common breed of livestock in the Fire Nation, and a popular method of transporting goods from place to place. Zitka dislikes Elephant Mandrakes, and found that Bull Yaks were too much a pain to take care of, seeking an easily-maintained animal that would blend into a large-scale crowd.
It was in the Fire Nation Capitol that Zitka Sahd found a stable filled with Dragonmoose, which the owner was selling for a great sum of money. The tricky merchant did not tell Zitka how flighty his animals were, and sold her Mao: one of the biggest cowards of them all; a black and white Dragonmoose with a habit for fleeing in terror at the slightest discomfort. By the time Sahd discovered the faults in her newly acquired mount, the man had long gone. She has yet to find him again, but when she does...there'll be hell to pay.
