Old Ba Sing Sei--The Crystal Catacombs An ancient city, buried under the capitol, where the founders of Ba Sing Sei had once practiced Earthbending in secret. It is now the main base of the Priests of the Summoner's Circle---a group of individuals who had been cast away from society, for trying to communicate with the Spirit World. In order to do this, Acolytes must cast away all connections to their own world, find balance within themselves, go through rigorous disciplinary training, and finally, perform a sacred rite which allows them to call upon a spirit of their very own.
